These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and policy-related support services provided by PolicyNest. By using our website or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

PolicyNest offers documentation-focused legal support tailored to Canadian digital businesses. Our services include drafting and reviewing Terms of Use, Privacy Policies, commercial contracts, and related legal content for digital platforms.

2. User Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide complete and accurate information when requesting services. PolicyNest is not liable for delays, inaccuracies, or limitations in service delivery resulting from incomplete, outdated, or incorrect submissions.

3. Payments

All fees are billed in advance unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Pricing is listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and may include applicable federal or provincial taxes. Payments are processed securely through approved third-party providers.

4. Refund Policy

We maintain a structured and transparent refund policy, described below:

  • Full Refund: Eligible when no work has been initiated and the cancellation request is received within 14 calendar days of purchase.
  • Partial Refund: May apply when work has started but not been completed — for example, if a preliminary consultation was held or initial document markup was delivered. The amount refunded will depend on the scope of services already rendered.
  • No Refund: Applies when the service has been substantially or fully completed, including the delivery of custom documentation or written assessments.

To request a refund, you must send a written request to contact@policynestup.com within the applicable time window. All refund requests are reviewed within 5 business days. PolicyNest reserves the right to request clarification regarding usage before processing the refund.

Refunds, if approved, are issued to the original payment method. Refund processing time may vary depending on your financial institution. No refunds will be issued for services purchased more than 30 days prior to the request date.

5. Modifications to Services

PolicyNest may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of its services at its discretion. In the event of a significant change that materially impacts a prepaid service, we will offer an account credit or refund based on the unused portion of the service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, including legal templates, documentation structures, and website materials, is the property of PolicyNest. No content may be reproduced, redistributed, or repurposed without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

PolicyNest’s liability is strictly limited to the total fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Use of our services does not constitute legal representation or a guarantee of legal outcome.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and enforced under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
